"Poetry & Surrealism have the biggest influence on my films. I am trying to pull from the soul and create worlds that dig deeper than realism but are intrinsically connected with the human existence. To portray the universe that is within our hearts and our relationship with God and Death. I like to structure my films like poems, and I let the characters emerge from the self-destructive and dying nature that is us. My stories are always about the transition from life to death, and the nihilistic traits that come with despair & surrender towards God. A real disturbing & toxic relationship. I like to talk about pain in my movies, I like to talk about hopelessness. But in the end, even without wanting to, hope emerges at the horizon and my characters die with dignity. Although I know dignity and hope is all fiction."
